Governance of TLMN:
The responsibility for running TLMN rests with a nine-man Board of Trustees, which meets at least once a year and comprises:

  • A Non-Executive Chairman, Prof. Jacob M. Baba
  • Eight Non-Executive Trustees, including four representatives of TLMI, and four eminent Nigerians, chosen for their experience and exemplary lives in Nigerian public life.

The Board of Trustees delegates responsibilities to a seven-man National Executive Committee (NEC) comprising five Trustees, the National Director and the Business Manager. The NEC meets at least twice a year.

Day-to-day running of TLMN is handled by the Nigeria Coordination Office headed by the National Director who is assisted by a team of officers comprising; a Business Manager, an Accountant, a Logistic Officer, a Support/Promotions Coordinator, four Technical Advisers, and a Personal Assistant.

The three main standing committees of the Board are:

  • Personnel Advisory Committee to recruit staff and ensure that personnel policies are in line with legal requirements.
  • Support and Promotions Committee to raise awareness about the work of TLMN and advocate for people affected by leprosy.
  • Technical Advisory Group to advise on strategies for project implementation on the field.
